The Rise of Conscious Entrepreneurs

Ever since post World War II, the “golden age of capitalism,” humanity has evolved within an increasingly commercial world. From the time we’re old enough to watch television, we are subconsciously indoctrinated to the cult of consumerism; constantly bombarded by media that teaches the way to live a successful and happy life is to consume more and amass wealth. Nowadays business is synonymous with chasing profits at the expense of human wellness.  However now that we are suddenly confronted with a global pandemic, it is clear that the current way of living out of harmony with ourselves and the planet must change. A new world paradigm must arise.

The corona virus is just one of many signs that humanity is experiencing a collective awakening. The rat race of life has been put on pause. We have the time to ponder what really gives purpose to our lives; though isolated we experience a stronger sense of connection with the world, and have a growing awareness that the current economic, social, and political systems are massively flawed. More and more people are waking up, realizing that spending most of their time working to pay bills and maintain social status is a waste of their potential.

From the ashes of the current capitalistic consumer society, will  rise of a new genre of conscious capitalism led by conscious entrepreneurs  who strive to inspire positive transformation in themselves and the planet. 

Conscious capitalism is a philosophy based on the idea that when practiced consciously, business can elevate humanity, motivating people to lead lives infused with passion, purpose, love and creativity.

Over the years, I’ve encountered so many amazing individuals driven by conscious capitalism who’ve inspired me on my own self-development journey. As an entrepreneur, one of the most important things you can do is to become consciously aware of who you really are.

Now that our usual lifestyle has been upended by this global pandemic, it’s more important than ever to look inwards, light the fire within, and discover how to use your passion and talent to create your dream life.

What makes someone a conscious entrepreneur? They feel a deep sense of purpose, follow their passion, and decide to make money doing what they love in a way that also benefits their community. They don’t measure success in terms of revenue, but by whether they are being true to themselves, and how many people they have positively impacted.

As exemplified by the inspiring individuals in the interviews to come, to be a successful conscious entrepreneur, you need to do the inner work first to find your passion and purpose. Passion and purpose leads to true happiness of which success is a byproduct. You don’t need a lofty social goal or to start a non-profit to have a positive impact. So few people live the life they truly desire, that by taking the courage to align with your soul purpose, you will inspire others to do the same.

Use this time wisely as a catalyst to upgrade your life. Connect with people who inspire you. Delve inward and start the journey of self-awareness.  You already have the tools you need within to create your dream life and help build a brighter future for the world.
